I hope you saw Chris’ email from yesterday and watched Florida Senate President Kathleen Passidomo defend Janet Reno’s Open Carry ban in her own words.

Also troubling, last week news broke that Passidomo would not support a bill to lower the age to buy a long gun in Florida from 21 to 18!

Well, we’ve got another development for you on the gun rights front.

Late last week, we saw this message from former NRA President and Director of USF, Marion Hammer:

This is huge.

Even Marion Hammer understands that House Bill 543 and Senate Bill 150 in the Florida Legislature are NOT ‘Constitutional Carry’ because they do not legalize open carry in the state of Florida!

Remember, Florida is one of only THREE states in the entire Union that will slap you with criminal charges for merely wearing an OWB holster without putting a piece of clothing over it.

Besides Florida, only New York, Illinois, and part of California treat open carry the same way. Not good!

And yet our Senate President claims that she and the Florida Sheriffs know how you should carry your weapon better than you do! It’s insane.

That’s why we are insisting that you contact Senate President Kathleen Passidomo right away and tell her that Florida gun owners want REAL Constitutional Carry, that includes legalized open carry!

Please politely tell her that you are sick and tired of her excuses, that she was elected to fight for gun owners and not special interest gun-control groups, to stop blocking open carry, and amend Permitless Carry (SB150) to legalize open carry immediately!

Remember, she works for you, not the other way around.

And she DEFINITELY does not work for the anti-gun Florida Sheriffs Association!

So when she tries to tell you why open carry can’t be legalized, remind her that besides Florida, only Illinois and New York outright BAN open carry statewide, and every other ‘Red’ state in the nation allows for legal open carry.
